Hey, friends! I hope you had a Happy [holiday of your choice]. We had a great Christmukkah (Christmas + Hanukkah), which lasted for almost all of December. The kids still have another week left of winter break, and we’ve been enjoying lots of family time. It hardly feels like winter here in Florida, with temperatures in the 80’s for most of the month. But we wouldn’t have it any other way.
This is the time of year where people start setting goals and making plans for the year ahead. It’s a time for change – and if one thing’s clear here at Mommy Runs It, it’s that some change is in order.
I wrote about having the “blogger blahs” waaaay back in September. That was followed by illness and injury, both of which prevented me from running. And let’s be honest – it’s hard to be a running blogger when you’re not actually running. And as if that wasn’t enough to slow me down, several weeks ago I began having a boatload of technical issues which turned blogging into a giant, complicated PITA.
But no more. With the help of my friend Janice from Just Janice Designs (and the expert advice of my friend Kevin from Secure Ideas – thanks!), you should start seeing some changes around here in the very near future. With any luck, this blog will be a little prettier, a lot faster, and a platform that I’m once again proud to call mine.
Keep your eyes out for the changes, and let me know what you think!

It’s definitely hard to be a running blogger when you are injured! I did that the first half of the year. Here’s to a happy and injury free year for both of us!
