I am an Ambassador for MaxFlowSports, and I was given a free Cross-Grip Hairband for the purpose of this review. This post contains affiliate links.
A Hairband that Won’t Budge!
I usually run in a hat or a visor. But I’ve been trying to get better about protecting my eyes from the sun by wearing sunglasses. And this means that I’ve had to find new ways to keep the sweat out of my eyes and my hair off my face.
I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect hairband for running – one that is comfortable, comes in pretty colors, and (most importantly) doesn’t slip. I’ve tried a few brands and styles, and the one that comes out on top is the Cross-Grip Hairband from MaxFlowSports. The main reason it’s the winner? I wore it on an 18 mile training run, and it didn’t budge for 4 sweaty hours! I didn’t have to readjust it even once and was able to focus on more important things than my hair.

The Cross-Grip Hairbands are designed with proprietary, patent-pending technology, so they truly are different than the other hairbands out there. You can see the “cross-grip” pattern in the photos below – this is what makes the hairbands stay in place so well.

I totally love mine! I was torn between pink and houndstooth, but I have a hard time turning down anything pink. π

I’m not a runner but I know how I hate adjusting headbands that slip off and back and forward, etc. So I can’t imagine trying to do that while running. This sounds like a great headband.

Ugh, I hate having to mess with a headband while I’m running or even when I’m just trying to look cute. π This one truly didn’t budge for 18 miles, which is saying a lot.

We should compare lists and see if we’re missing anything. π

I need some of these. My locs are long and heavy and i’m always looking for something to hold them back when I’m working out!

I just visited your site…love it! From your pics, you look like you have perfect headband hair. Unlike me… π

Sharon, I’m so glad that this worked out for you! I’m a runner, too, and it took me FOREVER to find headbands that would work with my hair for those long runs. I’m gonna have to check this brand out for when I need to re-up on my headbands. π

Thanks, me too! I always thought it was just me…like my head was shaped funny or something. π All the other girls at the gym always look so cute in their headbands…and then there’s me with mine slipping down the back of my head.

I need these so bad! I have tons of hair and can’t seem to find a headband that doesn’t slip or stretch out
sharon says
Ha! I’m a big hair girl too and these hairbands keep my mess under control. π

Thanks for this review! Just this weekend I was playing tennis and my hairband fell off between points! Definitely inconvenient. I might have to try one of these out!
sharon says
I hate when that happens! I’ve tried several kinds of hairbands and these really do stay in place better than most.

This is neat and I love that they come in different colors I have started my exercise journey and I need something on my hair and the scarf keeps falling off so this would be a great help.

I’ve tried bandanas…never seemed to work for me. I think my head must be flat or something. π
