or “The Wonderful Princess Who Loves Doing Stuff That’s Fun and Is Okay with Her Mom and Involves Pretty Stuff”
The folks at Markwins Makeup sent makeup sets to my daughters. We loved them so much that I wanted to tell you about them! This post contains affiliate links. Please see my Disclosure Policy for more information.
Two things happened this summer:
1. Markwins Makeup sent my daughters adorable makeup sets.
2. My 6 year old discovered toy review vlogs on YouTube.
She’s an early riser, while her big sister and I love to sleep in. This summer, when she woke up before the rest of the family, she would turn on the TV and (bless her) let us sleep. About a month before her birthday, she somehow ended up on YouTube (on the TV via our Roku) searching for gift ideas.
One thing led to another, and this soon became her regular routine. Every morning, she’d watch toy review vlogs. Then when I woke up, she’d go back and show me her favorites. I thought they were…interesting. They were certainly informative, but there’s just something awkward about watching grown women and men play with toys. Or maybe that’s just me.
Anyway, she absolutely loved them (which is probably the point anyway). So when she received her Barbie makeup set from Markwins, she asked if she could make a video about it. And so now I’d like to present my cutie patootie’s vlog debut.
(The original video was 5 minutes long, and this is just a 54 second snippet. Please excuse my poor video-taking skills – I have a lot to learn. Also – I have no idea why she’s scratching her head the whole time, but oh well.) And now without any further ado, I present Little Miss A.
She’s a natural, right? Love that kid.
Anyway, my girls loved the Markwins Makeup – the Barbie set, plus a Monster High set for my 8 year old. Their favorite part is that the makeup is actually “real” – you can tell that they’re wearing it, versus other kinds of kids’ makeup that is barely visible. It’s also affordable and one of my favorite go-to gifts for my girls and their friends.
You can purchase the Barbie Dollicious Fashion Tote (as seen in the video), as well as other Barbie and Monster High Markwins Makeup products from Kmart. And check out their stuff for grownups, too. You can learn more about Markwins for Girls on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
