I am a blogger for US Family Guide, and I am receiving tickets to Adventure Landing/Shipwreck Island in exchange for this post. My first 2 visits to Adventure Island, as described below, were not associated with this blog or with US Family Guide in any way. This post may contain affiliate links.
I can’t believe that I’ve lived in the Jacksonville area for 15+ years, and this summer was my first time ever at Adventure Landing and Shipwreck Island Water Park in Jacksonville Beach. We actually went twice this summer – the first time was for a work-related event, and we had so much fun that we went back on our own a few weeks later.
I have to be honest – I’m not a huge fan of water parks. I don’t like to be wet when it’s not necessary. (Yes, I’m weird. This isn’t big news.) But even I had a good time. And of course the kids, and even my husband, absolutely loved it. My husband and our 8 year old are the daredevils in the family, so they spent most of their time on the water slides (there are several). My 6 year old is more like me – we like to keep our feet firmly planted on the ground. So we spent a lot of time in the Kiddie Play Area, the Wave Pool, and the Lazy River.
There’s a ton of other stuff to do at Adventure Landing, too. There are Go-Karts (my family’s favorite), Miniature Golf, Batting Cages, an Arcade, and some kid-friendly roller coasters. Oh, and there’s an alligator exhibit that you have to see to believe.
Adventure Island is running some great specials right now – you can check them out HERE.
Do you like water parks? Are you a water slide fan, or are you more of a lazy river kind of person?
