Guys, I just wanted to remind you that 2016 Open Enrollment for Florida Prepaid ends in just a few days. February 29 will be your last chance to purchase a college plan during the 2015-2016 enrollment period. Don’t procrastinate (take it from the Queen of Procrastination herself) – prices are low, and there really is a plan to fit every family’s budget.
Still having doubts whether a Florida Prepaid College Plan is right for you? Here are some common questions that might help you make up your mind.
Is Florida Prepaid restricted to Florida schools? No! If your student decides to attend an out-of-state school, the amount covered by your Prepaid Plan can be used at schools nationwide.
What happens if I purchase a plan and then move out of Florida? Your child would still be billed at in-state tuition rates when using their plan at a Florida college or state university. (I can attest to this personally!)
What happens if my child doesn’t go to college? You will be able to change the beneficiary of the Prepaid Plan or get your money back.
