Jacksonville Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk – Save $5 on Registration

The event takes place on September 10, 2016 at The Jacksonville Landing. In addition to the 5K, there will be family-friendly activities, including a surprise guest speaker and prize drawings for top fundraisers.

Last year, event participants from across Jacksonville raised $26,000 for Free to Breathe, a non-profit lung cancer research and advocacy organization dedicated to doubling lung cancer survival by 2022. This year’s goal is to surpass that total, which will support programs that ensure that more patients become survivors. To date, there are nearly 224,400 new cases of lung cancer and more than 158,000 deaths in the U.S. each year – more deaths than of colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined.
