Jacksonville friends – the Walgreens Way to Well Tour is in our neck of the woods for the next few days, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to check it out!
The Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour is a community outreach program dedicated to providing free preventative and early detection health services to communities across the country. Certified wellness professionals will be on hand to administer a series of free health tests valued at over $100! The tests include total cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, body composition, skeletal muscle, resting metabolism, visceral fat, real body age, and body weight. The whole series of tests should take about 20 minutes. I’m curious and slightly nervous about my results, but I’ll share them here with you even if they’re icky, I promise.
In addition to the health tests, the Tour is also distributing flu shot vouchers to uninsured adults 18 years and older on behalf of Walgreens and AARP. (Vouchers are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis and are redeemable at your local Walgreens Pharmacy, while supplies last.)

I can’t wait to read all about it. I have been hearing more and more about these. Fortunately we have annual biometric screening at my job and if we meet certain thresholds they reduce the cost of our medical benefits.

I’m pretty excited – I don’t think I’ve had some of these tests ever.
