Planet Sock Monkeys: Toy Review

Sure, sock monkeys are cute. But a rock star sock monkey with long blond hair, pink cowboys boots, and a guitar? Fantastic!

Actually, I should say “socktastic” – that’s my 7 year old’s description of her new Planet Sock Monkey. I promise I didn’t tell her to say that. She’s waited so patiently to get her hands on her new toy (I know, I was surprised too). I finally let her open it this morning, and I think it lived up to her expectations. In her words, her new sock monkey, Star Harmonkey, is “amazing” and “cute.” And her favorite things about Star are her hair, her earrings, her dress, her boots, and her guitar (so pretty much everything). Star is soft enough to cuddle with but also perfect for imaginary play.

Eaton Dedd is a hungry, one-shoed zombie. Look out – he’s always on the lookout for something – or someone – to munch on!

Ima Bananerd is a self-proclaimed nerd! She loves science, has loads of self-confidence, and is adorably clumsy.

Long Sock Silver is – you guessed it – a pirate! This scoundrel loves adventure and has a flair for the dramatic. (Arrrgh.)

M.O.N.K. is a little rough, a little loud, but so irresistibly cute with his old school boom box, yo.

Magenta Beetsch is the wild & tough drummer for a punk band called The Sweat Sox. But she’s still adorable in her punk-style skirt, boots, and skull purse. She even has tattoos and piercings.
