I’ve never run an obstacle course race, but I’m intrigued by them. Sometimes I’ll read a recap of an OCR and think, “Wow, that sounds like fun!” But then I’ll look at the photos and all I can think is, “Huh. That’s a lot of mud.” I’m not really a fan of getting dirty, but I like the idea of pushing my physical limits. Who knows – maybe someday I’ll take the plunge.
Anyway, when it comes to obstacle course races, the Spartan obstacle race series is in a class of its own. If you’re not familiar with Spartan races, check out this short video:
(You see what I mean about the mud, right?)

Mud & obstacle races are so much fun! I don’t do them very often because I’m afraid I’ll injure myself & not be able to reach my marathon goal, but I really enjoy them.

I”ve never done one…and a little apprehensive but I think doing one would be a total mental workout as well as physical. I am a runner, dancer, yogi so upper strength is something I need more of. I think this would demand some intense training!
