Thank you to The Vision Council of America for sponsoring today’s post about eye safety.
So today I was looking through some information from The Vision Council, and I came across a chart that lists the 25 Top UV Danger Zones in the US. It turns out that I am living in one of them. Number 7, to be exact. In my city, UV rays pose a very high or extreme risk for 60% of the year! I had no idea. Check out this map & chart to see if you’re living in one of the eye safety danger zones.
The best way to keep your eyes safe from UV damage is really quite simple – wear UV protective sunglasses all the time, even on cloudy days. The Vision Council has this neat little UV Indicator Tool – just type in your zip code and find out the UV rating for wherever you are.
The Vision Council’s website has loads of information about keeping your eyes safe and healthy. Check it out – and check back here for more posts about Eye Safety!
