It’s been Giveaway Central around here lately! I currently have 7 (yes, SEVEN) open giveaways. I didn’t really plan for it to work out like that – but you know me, I didn’t really plan for much at all. But I’ve learned so much this past month or so while putting my Holiday Gift Guide together – first and foremost that I need to start planning well before the holidays. Like in July. Starting things early isn’t exactly my forte, but change is possible, right? RIGHT??
Anyway, I thought I’d take a break from All The Giveaways to catch you up on some important and non-important things in my life. Plus hopefully some of you who came for the giveaways decided to stick around for my awesomely adorable and humble self.
The Kids
2013 was the year that brought us a broken arm, 4 stitches, pneumonia, and an overnight hospital stay. And now we’re rounding out the year with a broken toe.
The Running
Between my asthma, the broken toe, the husband’s travels, and a wee bit of procrastination on my part, my running/marathon training has suffered quite a bit in the last few weeks. I haven’t been able to get in nearly enough miles. I’ve slacked off on my foam rolling. I’ve even had to miss several yoga classes. I may pay the price this weekend when I run another 20 miler. But hopefully with my training group and KT Tape on my side, I’ll manage to survive.

The Hanukkah Shopping
For those who follow me on Facebook – I finished my Hanukkah shopping! I was two weeks late, but I finished it. I have one more package to ship and then I can officially cross Hanukkah off my list until next year. But now…well, there’s the still the slight issue of Christmas shopping. Oops…I did it again. (Did you sing that last sentence in your head just now? Because I totally did.)
The Blog
I’ve had some really cool stuff happening with the blog lately, stuff that kind of blows my mind. I’ve wanted to start a blog for a few years, but fear and self-doubt held me back. I just didn’t think I’d be able to write anything interesting enough for people to actually want to read. So having real readers, seeing my web traffic increasing, having great brands who want to work with me…I’m just so thrilled that it’s actually happening.
I haven’t formally announced this stuff, but if you’ve happened to check out my sidebar, then you know that I was selected to be a Sweat Pink Ambassador. I’m also proud to be an Ambassador for MaxFlowSports. I also found out this week that I have the honor of being one of the Inaugural Local DONNA Ambassadors! I am thrilled to be an official part of the 26.2 with Donna Team and the National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer. I will write more about this in the weeks to come.
I’m also continuing my work with the Vision Council of America (watch for a related post + giveaway coming soon), and I’m partnering with fantastic brands like Thorlos and Mizuno. I’m truly excited to see what 2014 will bring, and I’m so glad that each and every one of you is here to share this journey with me.
Much love.

You have had a busy year and a busy December it sounds like. Your kids are so cute. I love the shirts. Have a great 2014.
Sharon says
Thanks! 🙂 That’s what happens when they refuse to pick out their own clothes. Happy 2014 to you too!

Sounds like you’ve been super busy! Congratulations on becoming part of the Donna team! I’m considering doing the virtual option of this race next year. I’ve never had anything broken so a broken toe sounds scary, I hope it heals quickly.
Sharon says
Thanks! The toe is very bruised but it hardly bothers her at all. She has a high tolerance for pain though (she doesn’t get that from me!)
